Hospital Soerad is located in Torres Vedras, in the West region (north Lisbon), and serves a population of c. 83 075 inhabitants. Soerad is a reference hospital for the inhabitants of the region and has conventions with the Portuguese NHS and with private health systems and subsystems.
Horizon acquired the hospital facilities and is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the infrastructure which is comprised of two buildings offering diversified speciality services and one parking lot with 320 parking spots. The hospital has a total area of 27,560 sqm, 100 beds and 320 parking lots.
The clinical services of the hospital will be led by a consortium including Atena Equity Partners and 3T.
Horizon acquired a 75% stake of WOW Plug, Lda. to establish a Public Electric Vehicle Charging network.
To explore the electric mobility industry, particularly the installation electric charging stations, WOW Plug was created to act as a CPO (Charging Point Operator). The CPO is the licensed holder whose activity consists in the installation, provision, operation and maintenance of charging points pertaining to public or private access, integrated into the electric mobility network.
The first stage of the project envisages to develop a network up to 800 EV chargers, across 9 Municipalities.
Wow Plug already signed protocols with six city councils for the installation of more than 500 electric vehicle charging stations and was looking for a financial partner to commit to fund the project.
Driven by the entry into force of EU 2020/21 car CO₂ emission, Electric Vehicles become one of the most relevant trends in Europe. The outlook for EV adoption is getting much brighter, due to a combination of more policy support, further improvements in battery density and cost, more charging infrastructure being built, and rising commitments from automakers.
Being one of the first movers on this trend will play a critical role for the success of the players.
Horizon acquired a 50% stake of a newly created SPV (Diagonal Fortune, Unipessoal, Lda.) which holds valid, operable and transmissible grid capacity titles for the development of projects with a capacity up to 48 MW in 13 different locations.
Construction phase is expected to start in the first half of 2022.
These infrastructures are an opportunity for Horizon to enter into the energy sector in a green field project which is strategic for the Fund.
The Fund intends to build a platform of energy related assets, that would be attractive to larger players in the market.

Haçor is the concessionaire for the construction, maintenance, and operation of the Hospital infrastructure, and is held by the winning consortium of the tender process if 2009.

Operating since 2012, Hospital de Loures offers a wide range of clinical services in the area of Lisbon and Vale to Tejo, serving 4 municipalities in the Lisbon area, with an aggregate population of c. 450,000 people.
HL is the concessionaire for the construction, maintenance, and operation of the Hospital infrastructure. This project is part of the 1st healthcare PPP program, being established by the winning consortium of the tender process in 2009.

OMTEL is the first independent telecom tower company operating in Portugal. Omtel owns a network of support systems to mobile telephone antennas, commonly known as telecommunication towers.
